EV Charger Installation

Level 2 charging installed cleanly at home.

Licensed & Insured in PA · 5.0★ · 100+ Google reviews · Serving 5 PA counties

A Level 2 charger runs on a dedicated 240-volt circuit and charges several times faster than the standard outlet most people start with. The difference between a full battery overnight and one that never quite catches up. The job starts with a load calculation, because a charger is a serious continuous load and not every panel can carry one. We run the dedicated circuit, install your charger hardwired or on a NEMA 14-50 outlet, and install it to code. If your panel's already maxed out, we'll tell you up front and pair it with an upgrade. We won't quietly overload a box just to close the job.

Common questions

Do I need a panel upgrade to add an EV charger?

Not always. It depends on your panel's spare capacity, which is exactly why we run a load calculation first. Plenty of upgraded panels handle a charger with room to spare. But an older 100-amp panel that's already running a home is often too tight, and we'll tell you that up front and pair the charger with an upgrade rather than overloading the box.

Hardwired or plug-in (NEMA 14-50), which is better?

Both work; it comes down to your setup. Hardwiring is clean, supports higher continuous output, and is the better call for outdoor or permanent installs. A NEMA 14-50 outlet gives you the flexibility to unplug or take the charger with you, and works well in a garage. We'll walk you through the trade-offs for your charger and your space and wire it accordingly.

Will you install a charger I already bought?

Yes. If you've already got a charger, or you're picking one out, we'll install it, as long as it's a listed, code-compliant unit. We can also recommend a model that fits your panel and parking setup if you haven't bought yet. Either way the install includes the dedicated circuit, installed to meet code compliance.
