Panel Upgrade
More capacity for a modern, fully loaded home.
A 100-amp service was plenty when homes built prior to 1960 were wired. But they were never built for a heat pump, a finished basement, and an EV in the garage all at once. A Panel Upgrade rebuilds the service entrance and gives you the headroom modern living actually needs. We size the load, coordinate the meter pull with your utility, run new service cable if the old one's undersized, and get it installed to code. It's also one of the first things a sharp buyer's agent looks for, so it pays you back at the closing table.

Common questions
Do I need to notify the utility company?
You don't. We handle it. A Panel Upgrade requires the utility to pull the meter and reconnect at the new service, and we coordinate that with your utility as part of the job. We schedule the disconnect and reconnect so your power is only down for the window we actually need.
What's included in the service entrance upgrade?
The full path from the utility's connection to your new panel: the new upgraded main breaker panel, the meter socket and service-entrance cable if the existing ones are undersized, the grounding and bonding brought up to current code, plus everything installed to meet code compliance. You end up with a complete, code-compliant service, not just a bigger box on the same old wiring.
Will this help if I want to add an EV charger?
Yes, and it's one of the most common reasons people upgrade. A Panel Upgrade gives you the capacity to add a Level 2 charger without starving the rest of the house. If an EV charger is the goal, tell us up front and we'll size the upgrade with that load in mind so you're set when the car shows up.
